Confession time. Despite the fact that I have been writing for as long as I can remember, I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. A lot of what will be published here (especially in "Writing") will be me figuring it out and documenting it, both for my future self to look back on and future writers to have as a resource when they too find themselves at the beginning of this long and daunting process. But Sarah and a Story is more than a writing tool. It is the culmination of my living and writing up until this point. It is the space where I'm growing, and it is a space where I invite you to do the same.
Above all, it is a space that honors stories - the ways in which they shape us, the voices who tell them, and the power that they hold.
me ^I am a writer by day, stage manager by night and weekend, and lover of words always. Though I was born in the home of the World's Biggest Basket, I now reside with America's Oldest Brewery in the Coal Region of Pennsylvania. I stubbornly studied English & Theatre in college after a brief but passionate love affair with Agriculture. I recently graduated from a Creative Writing program with my M.A in English. One of my students once said that I was "pretty cool."
I've spent my whole life in pursuit of stories, and I would love for you to be part of that journey!
